Enterprise communications is relatively immature and hence a high- growth market reaching $ 885 million between 2006- 2011 in Western Europe. The possibilities within the SME segment outgrow the enterprise segment due to push from enterprise end users for managed convergent solutions and the maturity of technology.
Enterprise FMC service providers need to demonstrate how the impact of convergence can be translated into specific business goals. Convergence should provide businesses and employees fast, reliable and cost- effective access to people and information, whether in the office, on the move, or at home. Otherwise, organizations may well end up deploying solutions on their own.
