| 7/31/09 - Pearl Networks has changed its name to Yonder Media, furthering its commitment to become the nation's leading provider of rich and exciting broadband wireless experiences exclusively for rural communities where millions of American consumers and businesses have been waiting for an upgrade from dial-up services.
The expansion of broadband wireless Internet offers compelling growth in un-served/underserved rural markets, aligning necessary services to better meet the daily needs of consumers and businesses. Founded in 2006, Yonder Media has delivered on this promise in select markets over the last three years, leveraging wireless technology, its superior service and optimized networks that are well suited to reach the 'last mile.'
Yonder Media's mission is to rapidly expand its markets and outfit residential and business with an upgraded vision for Wireless Broadband Internet services. These services will come with dynamic features, such as a customized Web portal that maps directly to the local community, integrated technologies that enhance everyday aspects of life, such as, remote learning, VoIP, and rich multimedia including video enhanced entertainment and business productivity.
"The rural broadband need is crystal clear and Yonder Media's unwavering commitment is to connect communities with a cost-effective connection, combined with a superior approach in delivering the most desired and progressive features," said Craig Vallarino, CEO of Yonder Media. "High-speed Internet opens the door to a new world of capabilities to upgrade the quality of life in rural communities. No longer will a significant portion of our nation's children be relegated to dial-up Internet for remote learning because it is the only type of access the phone company can provide."
Yonder Media's rural broadband market potential stems from the 50 million Americans, 20 percent of the population, dispersed in communities who are underserved by existing service providers, which today are comprised of stagnant Dial-Up ISPs, or under-funded independent Wireless ISPs, who have lacked performance and been locked out of delivering value-added services and rich localized information.
By building out or acquiring assets of existing providers in selected markets, Yonder Media expects to generate significant subscriber growth. Continuing the tradition of Pearl Networks, Yonder Media will address multiple markets with a group of operating companies under the Yonder Wireless umbrella.
Yonder Wireless specializes in building and supporting highly available and redundant networks to deliver speedy, Internet connectivity services to consumers, schools and businesses. The Yonder Wireless Internet service is coupled with localized marketing and responsive customer support that is well suited to exceed customer expectations.
